A general dentist with a practice limited to children and a florist’s eye for the little things.

General dentistry limited to children became her calling—and Kona became home.

Dr. Melissa Mahealani Beaudet-Uy was born and raised in Hawaii. She graduated from St. Anthony High School on Maui and the University of Hawaii @ Hilo with a BA in Biology. Dr. Beaudet-Uy attended Creighton University Dental School and during school breaks was mentored by Dr. Michael Delaney. Upon graduating he brought her into his practice and got her ready for her new life in general dentistry limited to children. Dr. Beaudet-Uy had also served as a volunteer in the Dominican Republic as a dental student with Creighton faculty and other students in all health professions. That program solidified her choice to serve patients through general dentistry limited to children and special needs care.

For 36 years, Dr. Beaudet-Uy has been serving the families of Hawaii Island and sometimes outer islands as well. She continues her education yearly in general dentistry limited to children and orthodontics so that she may provide the best treatment she can.

Dr. Beaudet-Uy is the mom of three grown children and grandma to two grandchildren with one more on the way.

Her side gig: being a certified floral designer. Sometimes our families get to see wedding, birthday and all kinds of flowers walk through our waiting room. She also has lots of chickens and brings eggs to the office, as well as her mini donkeys, two dogs and two cats. NEVER a dull moment in our days!
